Christian Science Reading Room

Dear Community,
We are now open for outdoor sales Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM! We also set up limited outdoor seating during these times.

A Reading Room is a bookstore and library, an urban sanctuary where anyone, regardless of faith, can step away from a busy day for a few moments of quiet reflection.

Our Reading Room is our open door to the community. It's a place where you can come in and pray, read the weekly Bible Lesson, use research materials, ponder the Bible, listen to inspirational CDs, ask questions, and buy or borrow literature to advance your spiritual quest. Here we make Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy available to the public. We also carry copies of The Christian Science Monitor, an award-winning newspaper dedicated to unbiased, solutions-oriented reporting of national and world news.

For over 80 years, our Reading Room has been located on “The Ave” in the University District in Seattle. It's at 5034 University Way NE, the same block as the University District Farmers Market and across the street from the University Heights Community Center. There's free on-site parking. We hope you'll come in for a visit!
